Infographic: The not-so-hidden value of advertising

The first-ever EU-wide report to isolate the economic and social contribution of advertising highlights its ability to drive economic growth across the EU and selected markets, including Canada.
The independent study by Deloitte, commissioned by the World Federation of Advertisers, found that every $1 spent on advertising can generate up to $6 of in the Canadian economy.
Other key findings for Canada include:
- An estimated $12.7 billion CDN (9.1 billion Euros) was spent on advertising in Canada in 2014
- The estimated annual GDP impact of advertising in 2014 was $81 billion CDN (58.2 billion euros)
