{"id":5490,"date":"2020-10-28T13:23:10","date_gmt":"2020-10-28T17:23:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/acaweb.ca\/en\/?page_id=5490"},"modified":"2020-10-28T13:34:24","modified_gmt":"2020-10-28T17:34:24","slug":"change-is-coming-to-cross-media-measurement-in-canada","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/acaweb.ca\/en\/about\/for-media\/change-is-coming-to-cross-media-measurement-in-canada\/","title":{"rendered":"Change Is Coming to Cross Media Measurement in Canada"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The ACA has formed an advertiser-led committee to improve cross media measurement in Canada<\/li>\n<li>P&#038;G\u2019s Media Director Judi Hoffman to chair the committee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/h3>\n<p><strong>October 29, 2020:<\/strong> On the heels of the global Cross Media Working Group\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/acaweb.ca\/en\/about\/for-media\/global-advertisers-unveil-a-collaborative-new-approach-to-cross-media-measurement\/\">initiative to unify cross media measurement<\/a>, the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) has created a Cross Media Measurement Committee. Judi Hoffman, P&#038;G Canada\u2019s Media Director, Marketing &#038; Brand Operations, has accepted the position of committee chair.  <\/p>\n<p>Judi Hoffman is a seasoned brand builder, responsible for creating P&#038;G Canada\u2019s media capabilities for billion-dollar brands like Tide, Crest, Pampers, and Pantene. She is a proven leader and an innovator in cross screen media planning and new media models. <\/p>\n<p>The lack of a unified measurement system across media platforms makes obtaining an accurate picture of the effectiveness and efficiency of overall media spend impossible. It is the Committee\u2019s ultimate objective to oversee the implementation of just such a unified system in Canada. The approach will be consistent with the <a href=\"https:\/\/acaweb.ca\/en\/resource\/establishing-principles-for-a-new-approach-to-cross-media-measurement\">Framework and Proposal<\/a> put forth by the World Federation of Advertiser\u2019s (WFA) global Cross Media Working Group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cACA\u2019s quest for a cross media measurement system that is transparent and cohesive is a challenging proposition,\u201d acknowledged Ron Lund, President &#038; CEO of ACA. \u201cHowever, there is no doubt in my mind that Judi Hoffman, whose wealth of experience with both media and governance, will lead this committee to achieve its goal.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For many years, we have called for industry-wide media transparency,\u201d said Judi Hoffman, Media Director, P&#038;G Canada. \u201cBy developing a cross-media measurement solution for the industry, we will improve the consumer experience, eliminate waste, reach more people, and drive industry growth for all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Working with key stakeholders, including global and local media companies, media agencies, measurement companies and martech companies, the Committee will work to expedite and enable the implementation of an advertiser-supported industry solution. <\/p>\n<p>The Committee will look to best practices, principles and learnings from beta initiatives in the UK and US led by ISBA and the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), respectively, as well as other markets, to guide them in this endeavor. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the heels of the global Cross Media Working Group\u2019s initiative to unify cross media measurement, the ACA has created a Cross Media Measurement Committee.
