First presented in 1941, the ACA Gold Medal Award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of marketing communications in Canada. The deadline for submitting nominations for this year\u2019s award is April 10.<\/p>\n<p>The ACA Gold Medal Award will be presented at the 2014 Marketing Awards gala, to be held May 29 at the Carlu in Toronto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor 73 years, the ACA Gold Medal Award has paid tribute to our industry\u2019s most accomplished and influential leaders for their contributions to the advancement of marketing communications,\u201d said Ron Lund, President and CEO of the ACA. \u201cWith their passion, commitment and leadership, each honoree has left an indelible mark on an industry they have served with utmost distinction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 2013 recipient was Philip Donne, President of Campbell Company of Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The ACA Gold Medal Award is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open to all individuals in activities that have an impact on marketing communications in Canada (advertisers, agencies, media, researchers, academics, associations, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Awarded for a single achievement, or for accomplishments over time<\/li>\n<li>Awarded to a candidate whose contribution represents a measurable, distinctive advancement in the practice of marketing communications in Canada<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A full list of past honorees and this year&#8217;s nomination form is posted <a title=\"ACA GOLD MEDAL AWARD\" href=\"http:\/\/www.acaweb.ca\/en\/about\/aca-gold-medal-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto, February 20, 2014: The Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) today issued a call for nominations for its highest commendation, the ACA Gold Medal Award.
