Well-funded cyber criminals have infiltrated the online advertising ecosystem and are employing top technology to defraud marketers, stealing billions of dollars through the use of non-human traffic, known as bot fraud. ACA is working with industry partners, including the Media Rating Council and Alliance For Audited Media, to mitigate the impact of these bad actors. We recently released the results of a first-of-its-kind pilot study that monitored Canadian participants’ online campaigns in real time to determine levels of fraud across advertising channels and devices.
